An All-In-One Resource for Prospective Students
The journey to becoming a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) is not an easy one.
In hopes of making the journey just a little bit easier, Anesthesia OneSource was developed by Jennifer Donoso, CAA so that information regarding education requirements could be found in one convenient location.
Updates for changes to program information will be conducted as needed and at minimum of one to two times per calendar year, with new program information added as it is published on program websites. Updates on informational sessions will occur monthly if events are taking place.
In addition to tracking admissions updates and information, Anesthesia OneSource offers consultation services for prospective students in the form of Student Application Reviews, a Membership site, and a Coaching Package option.
Anesthesia OneSource is not affiliated with any programs referenced. The information provided is compiled from each program’s respective website and is subject to change. Please review the Terms of Service for refund and rescheduling information.
Jennifer Donoso, CAA
Jennifer Donoso graduated from Nova Southeastern University-Tampa Bay Regional Campus in 2022.
Jennifer has worked in healthcare since 2001 and became a Respiratory Therapist in 2005. In her over 15-year career as a Respiratory Therapist, she gained experience in the Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult intensive care units. She also spent time as an ECMO Specialist and Critical Care Transport Respiratory Therapist utilizing fixed-wing, rotor-wing, and ground transport.
Shortly after graduating from NSU, Jennifer noticed how difficult it was to find information about becoming a CAA and realized that the profession could grow if people could easily find information about the requirements to gain admission into an anesthesia program.
Thus, Anesthesia OneSource!
Welcome!
Words of Encouragement
Do not be discouraged by the information contained here. Most programs review applications in a holistic manner, meaning that they consider all aspects of an application and do not dismiss an applicant if they aren’t within criteria laid forth.
Put your best foot forward when you apply. Strengthen your application where you can.
Most importantly (and I cannot stress this enough): do not sell yourself short if you know there is an aspect about your application that gives you an edge, even if your test scores aren’t the highest.
You can do this! Write down the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. Work at it, check off the boxes, and before you know it, you’ll be applying, then interviewing, then putting on your White Coat and learning how to become a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant!
Yes, there are time frames for the GRE, MCAT, and pre-requisites, but DO NOT WORRY about how long it will take you. The time will pass anyway, so you might as well work toward your goal!
